The Design Process
In accordance with industry best practices, most AVL design projects are comprised of 5 phases. Each phase has unique activities and deliverables.
When the process is honored, it is possible to achieve great outcomes, while keeping the project on time and on budget.
One area of keen interest to us, is the needs study. This part of the Concept phase is where we get to listen for understanding from your artists, musicians, technicians, facilities, ministry folk and staff. We carefully document your needs and expectations, and use this information to design a unique solution that meets the specific needs of your community.
I encourage everyone who has to interact with the technical systems in your community to participate in the needs study. We never get the full picture from any one type of contributor. It’s only when we get everyone’s perspective that we can access the truth about what’s needed.
